Carlota has always understood joy as a way of life.

She likes people. Listening and conversing. Sharing a long meal around a table. She enjoys entertaining at home, preparing desserts, discovering new places, and getting lost in markets and historical sites. She loves the sea, the sun, flowers, music, dancing, and everything that invites celebrating life.

She has a special fascination for objects that hold memories: inherited jewelry, an old photograph, a piece that has been passed down from one generation to another. Objects that tell stories and, with the passage of time, acquire even more value.

She has lived between Spain, France, and Switzerland and has developed a large part of her professional career in some of the most renowned fashion and beauty houses. However, the influences that have most shaped her creative approach have always been closer: her family, inherited objects, shared stories, and that very Spanish way of celebrating life.

Inspired by her grandmother and the women who taught her to appreciate what endures, she founded MERELU.
